Societe Generale Corporate & Investment Banking, part of the Paris-listed banking group, has appointed Zak de Mariveles to the newly-created role of head of UK independent financial advisor sales at the firm’s Global Markets business.He previously worked at Royal Bank of Scotland, where he was managing director, head of UK IFA sales, markets and international banking, as well as being responsible for the UK-listed products business, Societe Generale said in a statement.
He is also founder and first chair of the UK Structured Products Association.
De Mariveles is based in London and reports jointly to Alexandre Houpert, head of distribution, listed products and exchange-traded funds for UK, Nordics, France and Benelux, and Didier Imbert, who is head of sales, UK and Ireland, Cross Asset Solutions.
In his new role, de Mariveles will develop the bank’s IFA business and push its recently-launched structured deposit range.
